Join us as we welcome Manfred Honeck, Austrian conductor and Music Director of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra for the past 16 seasons, to First Baptist Church on Thursday, September, 19th 7:30PM!
Manfred has firmly established himself as one of the world’s leading conductors, whose distinctive and revelatory interpretations receive international acclaim. Manfred will discuss how a conductor interprets the work of a composer -- What is the balance between personal interpretation and original intention? And how can we understand music as an art form?
