For me it started with my grandparents, Jack and Rhodora Donahue. I remember their 65th wedding anniversary celebration when my grandfather said to my grandmother, “Rhodora, the only time I didn’t love you is before I knew you,” and he absolutely meant it! They had an everlasting love and a committed mindset that saturated and spread throughout our family. Their passion for each other endured a lifetime of trials and tribulations and has now sparked, three joy-filled family generations. They weren’t perfect, but they were amazingly good people and so good to each other. The friendship and love my grandparents have is the inspiration for Renew the ‘I do’ Foundation. - Fr. Jay
